You're my exception.
You were my anomaly. Until you broke me like a promise and shattered me with your lies.
I told you I’ve destroyed everything that's ever been mine.
You hurt me.
I know.
I should have told you the truth.
I should have walked away.
Tell me how to fix this.
You can't.
Broken things never work as good as they used to, remember?
Wanna bet?
You're not funny, Holden.
I'm not joking, Bishop. I'm raising the stakes this round.
This time...I'm going all in.
You already lost me.
I’ll win you back.

Because it’s me and you, angry girl.
Until the end.

Author's Note: This is the FINAL book in the Complicated Parts trilogy. Books 1 and 2 must be read beforehand.

Perfectly imperfect pair
Oh, Preston! You had sooo many issues. Yet, you still managed to come out a winner. Despite all you endured—all the imperfections—your loyalty and love still shined bright.Kit, you beautiful soul.So loving, forgiving, so supportive. You also endured a lot. Suffered a lot. But, it was worth it in the end.Much like the first two books, this one showed a LOT of the characters' flaws. But, it also showed how far people will go for the ones they love.Yes, I could go on a tangent about why they shouldn't be together, why they don't deserve each other—but, together they are better. Together, they are imperfectly perfect. There was a lot to unpack in this book and not all of it was nice. Some of it was absolutely horrible, it showed some of the worst sides of humanity. However, it also showed some of the best parts – the kind parts. The protective and loving parts. The beautiful and hopeful parts.Betrayal, lust, complications, forgiveness.Anger, love, lies, and laughs. This book had a little of everything.I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes complex characters, who aren't perfect, who make mistakes.Yes, their road was messy. But their journey is worth the ride.ALL THE FEELS.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++

All In, Ashley Jade’s final book of her Complicated Parts trilogy, marks an end: an end to want. Fold, the first book of this series, began my adoration for Ashley Jade. It is the very first book I read from her. I wish I could remember how I came to find that book, but I remember that it ignited my love for her storytelling. Fold and Bluff were my initiation into the world of alpha-hole heroes and upending characterizations of heroines. I remember distinctly thinking about Kit, the heroine of this trilogy, for long periods of time. Ashley Jade was considering $exuality in more fluid terms before societal buzzwords or labels such as pan$exuality or demi$exuality were being bantered around. She was interrogating attraction and love between souls before we were really focusing on it as a larger population, and I was confused and intrigued and thoughtful about it. I’m sure there are LGBTQA scholars who might scream at her for her insistence on Preston and Kit, but I think she has done all of us in romancelandia a favor by playing with this notion in her Complicated Parts trilogy.

I have waited longingly for years for All In. When Jade finished Bluff, I was heartbroken. I could feel Kit’s pain, and I wanted to be absolved of it. This is romance after all, so I needed a happy ending for Kit and Preston, but Jade, the masochist, had other stories that needed telling, so I’ve waited, clearly the sadist in this relationship. And Jade, with this story, had work to do. There was much to be done to get Kit and Preston to a happy ending: absolving Kit’s hurt, explaining Preston’s side “business,” rectifying Kit’s grandmother’s agreement, and revealing and ameliorating Preston’s past traumas, all while finding a space for Kit and Preston. Like peeling the layers of an onion, Jade deftly and beautifully juggles all of her storylines. I will say that there is one moment (of which I will not divulge here so as not to spoil anything about this book) that I felt was remedied too quickly and hurried us away from it. To be honest, it isn’t necessary to linger there long for the rest of the story. Considering this book is 497 pages, I shouldn’t be curious, but I guess I wanted to see more of the consequences of it. That being said, this is neither here nor there to the overall story.

All In is emotionally painful, yet titillating and expressive in one fell swoop. There were times when I needed a quick TikTok break away from Preston’s outer meanness and Kit’s empathy that gutted her. Yet, as the story goes, as Jade peels those layers of their story away, you fall deeper into them, into their traumas, into their inexplicable attraction, and into their love. Jade forces us to consider that souls, not labels, not expectations, can become fated for each other no matter the outer package. That feels so important in the world of romancelandia, when everywhere we turn, we encounter tropes and genres and tradition. All In feels like a kick to that. There are definitely traditional parts of this story: the happy ending and the $exual connection between Kit and Preston. But Jade is so careful with Kit and her characterization, taking the time to mete out her feelings. She’s so careful in Preston’s evolution and healing. She makes her readers work for all of it, and you find yourself “all in” with their story.

Is waiting for All In worth it? Absolutely. Ashley Jade’s insistence on taking her time with this story was responsible, it is timely, and it needed to be told right now. Our society has caught up to the ideas behind her characters, and it’s made for a story that gives Preston and Kit the happy ending they deserve. Every turn of the page of this book was a revelation, and I’m thankful to the universe for drawing me to Ashley Jade. All In reminds me that she’s a very special kind of romance writer because, through the genius of her storytelling, she shows us what an “imperfectly perfect” looks like, and that love is both painful and joyful in equal measure. In a world that is far from perfect, that seems like an important lesson to learn.

Good things comes to those who wait. All In was definitely so worth the wait. I was so excited to dive in especially with how Book 2 - Bluff ended. Kit and Preston share one strong and indestructible bond which all goes back to the Complicated Hearts Duet. From that moment on it just got stronger with Fold and Bluff. Their journey culminates here in the final book All In.

Ashley Jade gave me everything I could’ve hoped for and so much more with All In. Kit and Preston are two flawed and vulnerable characters with a tragic past and so much trauma. An Ashley Jade specialty. Together they save one another literally. It was obvious from the previous books that the connection was unique but here it reaches new heights. I felt them! The good, the ugly and everything in between. The chemistry even more poignant and tingling in all the right places. My heart broke with them and was slowly healed as I went along with them on their journey to recovery and towards one another.

Breslin, Landon and Asher were there and so pivotal to the story. Not only for Preston and Kit but to give these fabulous characters a properly send off. Ashley Jade delivered on all accounts. Gave me the good ol’ angst, suspense, amazing sex and laugh out loud humor I’ve come to expect from this group of characters.
All In ended the way it should! I didn’t expect it but now I couldn’t imagine it any other way. That’s Ashley Jade. She surprises and excels. Every time. Now I’m sitting here with a smile on my face and so happy Kit and Preston got the ending they deserved. Definitely worth the wait. Bravo!

After knowing three years, my girl got the inspiration back to finish her beautiful story of Kit and Preston; the ending was beyond perfection! It was definitely worth the wait of three years, for all you who don’t know- this story is a piece of Ashley’s heart she holds dearly. No disappointment EVER, just happiness and butterflies. As this is a personal story Ashley has, I continue to love this woman with all the words she provides us in her stories each day. That beginning- let it be known I’m not a fan of a specific person from books one to current, but thankfully a turn of events occurs in this one. Enjoy this book as this beautiful era comes to its finale. Let’s continue to love Ashley’s work and watch her grow with greatness. I cannot believe that the “Angry Girl” Era has come to its end. Every time I’ve read Ashley’s books, I’m attached to the couples I’ve gotten a chance to read and learn through, I will always love these couples. Ashley, you will always know the way into my heart purely created from your words. Peace out angry girl; you will be in our book hearts. Onto a new era of power and love. Always hold the ones you love, closest to you. After three years of you all waiting, Kit and Preston got their HEA. Angry Girl lives on!!

My number 1 quote: “It’s me and you angry girl until the end”, said by Preston Holden

🌟note it’s not necessary you read complicated hearts duet before this series, they’re two separate stories. Unless you’re someone who wants to know more about our main characters in here as well as when you meet Breslin, Landon and Asher for the first time. This is yet a great story, one that won’t be forgotten.

Preston and Kit have been favorites of mine since I met them in the Complicated Hearts duet. (If you haven’t read it yet, you really, really should. It’s amazing!)

I was ecstatic when Ashley gave Kit and Preston their own story.
Fold and Bluff (books 1 & 2 from the Complicated Parts series) is where their journey began (both must be read before this one, btw) but All In will always hold a special place in my heart.

The topics covered in this story are as diverse as the band of secondary characters.
This book had me spinning. One minute I was happy, then sad, then angry, and everything in between.
I ran the gamut of emotions while reading, and that’s the mark of a great writer and a fantastic story.

Preston and Kit’s journey isn’t an easy one. They had to jump through many, many hoops to get where they wanted to be. To where they deserved to be.
Theirs is not a hearts and flowers type of relationship, but their respect and love for one another help them persevere.
*I’m being intentionally vague so you go in blind. It’s the best way to read this trilogy.*

All that matters, in the end, is that Preston and Kit are ALL IN.

I have a bit of a hard time conveying just how much I enjoyed the 3-part story of Kit and Preston. This has to be the best and most original soul-mates story that I've read so far in the contemporary genre. I usually hate soul-mates outside fantasy but this story is so unique and beautiful, it took me by surprise just how much I enjoyed it.

Kit and Preston start as rivals for the love of the same girl, Becca. That's right, Kit is into girls. That's her whole identity. And she clings to it with all she's got. These two have a special moment on a bridge one night after they find out about each other and realize Becca's deceit.

Their story develops slowly over time in an unlikely friendship but it is so much more than that. There are ups and downs, scenes with great emotional and sensual tension build-up, suspense, frustration and laugh out loud moments.

All In is the final book in the trilogy and a fitting ending. There are a lot of twists and developments. There is so much emotion, so much heartbreak but so much healing as well.

I liked the main messages in this trilogy a lot:
- sexuality doesn't define you as a person
- think outside the box
- sometimes people lash out when they're in pain but everybody needs someone in their corner
- addiction can be life wrecking not just for you but your loved ones as well
- be brave, seek help and deal with your trauma, don't let it rule your life

I have been waiting to even start this series till I knew Ashley was finishing it. I loved the bits of these characters I came to know in the Complicated Hearts duet and was eager for Kit and Preston. This whole series and in particular All In were simply fabulous. It takes your heart through the ringer several times but is worth it.
One take away I had, was the element of Kit being hung up on her sexuality as her identity as opposed to just feeling what you feel for a person regardless of gender or sexuality. For some defining and ticking a box is important but end of the day love is love. I was also glad a certain unredeemable old hag didn't have some miracle awakening as many do in books.
This was one fantastic series filled with angst, twists and turns and fabulous characters. Loved it!
