Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and performance problems. Perfect for your home or office workstation, the TLP606 Protect It!® 6-Outlet Surge Protector features a surge protection rating of 790 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes. In fact, Tripp Lite will repair or replace any connected equipment damaged by surges, including direct lightning strikes, up to $20,000 for life (valid in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico only). Your devices plug into six NEMA 5-15R outlets, one of which is placed at the end to accept a bulky transformer without blocking adjacent outlets. An integrated 15A circuit breaker protects all outlets and shuts down connected equipment in case of overload. The lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected equipment. A diagnostic LED confirms your connected equipment is protected.

    A typical surge protector with a switch and a few outlets. They’re spaced out evenly enough so no major issues there. I do have an issue with the fact that the plug into the wall isn’t flush with it so it juts out a bit, which is fine or not depending on what you have in that area. If you’re trying to push a TV up against a wall, you might have some issues. I just have it under my desk so no biggie for me. The cord at that end is also kind of stiff; you really got to put some elbow grease into it in order for it to bend the way you want it to.There is the indicator light and a rocker power switch. The cord is short for the one I bought but that’s obviously something you can change if you buy one with a longer cord. Good price.

    For my application, I shortened the cord on this and put on an angle plug. The problem I always have with surge protectors is what to do with the 6-feet of cord that nearly all of them have. Of course I voided the warranty by changing the cord length, but that's okay. I don't have anything super valuable plugged into this strip. This unit also looks good with my stereo equipment. I had a white one of these I purchased in years past, but it wasn't blending with the other electronics. I guess I may someday know if this works right in a big voltage surge, but for now its supplying consistent power to a number of components.

    I bought this because of the extra long 15-foot AC input cord. Daisy chaining power strips or adding a power strip with an extension cord is a fire hazard. I needed a power strip that could handle the distance. This power strip is exactly what I needed and works well.

    Great price compared to everything I've seen in stores around here. I was a little concerned that given the price, it would be cheap quality but it seems to be holding up very nicely. I've been using it for my tv/game systems in my bedroom and it's worked wonderfully well. We had a storm the other day and there was a surge.. this protected everything very nicely. I will definitely purchase a few more of these to replace my older power cords.

    I needed a long cord for my computer and a good surge protector. This product was just what I needed. So far it works well and I am happy with it. I haven't had the power go out while using it so I can not comment on if it actually protects. But I believe it would. It seems well made, not cheap. I would recommend this product.
