A Closer Look: The benefits of linking an external business bank account to American Express Business BlueprintTM
Linking your external business bank accounts to Business Blueprint has many benefits across multiple American Express products and services, including American Express® Business Line of Credit.
The following guide explains how linking your external business bank accounts can help you make the most of your Amex business products.
Business Blueprint offers free personalized cash flow insights, based on your select American Express products and linked external bank and card accounts, that can help you make more informed decisions for your business. You can link your external accounts to Business Blueprint by using the login credentials associated with those accounts.
The more accounts you link to Business Blueprint, the more complete the picture of your cash flow (expenses, account balances, and transactions) – and the more comprehensive your customized charts and graphs become.
American Express does not store external login credentials. Read more about privacy here.
Linking your external business bank accounts helps us determine and manage your Business Line of Credit on an ongoing basis. Once linked, your business bank accounts can be used to make repayments and to receive the deposit of loan funds from your Business Line of Credit.
Linking an external business bank account to your Business Checking account enables you to fund your Business Checking account and make transfers and payments. To ensure your Business Checking account stays open, you must make an initial deposit or incoming transfer within 120 days of when your application was approved.
There are three ways you can connect an external business bank account to your Business Checking account:
- By selecting an external bank account on file that’s previously been added to other Amex products
- Manually, by entering the routing and checking number of your external bank account
- By logging into your external bank account to pull that account username and password
