The DAV Cultural Runway Series ties fashion to visual art. Each runway show is tied thematically to the exhibitions on display at McNichols Civic Center Building and the Buell Theatre, bringing the artwork off of the walls and onto the catwalk to make art accessible and personal in an immersive format.
On October 12, Denver Arts & Venues celebrates the timeless and sophisticated nature of black and white fashion designs. From graphic tees to elegant evening wear, monochromatic designs create a lasting and powerful impression and inspire a feeling of confidence. On the runway, Denver Arts & Venues will feature several emerging designers selected from an open call. Arrive early to peruse the vendor market to shop for locally made artwork, jewelry, fashion, body care products and more while you enjoy refreshments and a cash bar. Stick around after the event for a celebratory after party!
Denver Arts & Venues is seeking models of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities to be featured in our next runway show at the McNichols Building on Oct. 12! No experience necessary. After submitting an application, models should attend the in-person casting session on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. in the McNichols Civic Center Building.
We invite fashion designers to submit original work for our next Cultural Runway Show. Designs should be predominately black, white and/or gray and will be accepted through Sept. 1.
