An arm-twisting companion

Spiral galaxy NGC 1532 lies 50 million light-years away in Eridanus. Its dwarf galaxy companion NGC 1531 has bent one of its arms out of shape as it makes a close pass. This LRGB image comprises 15.5 hours of exposure with a 5-inch refractor.
