A hearing on two options for alleviating crowding at George Fox Middle School was postponed from yesterday until 7 p.m. tomorrow, when the school board will take testimony at Board of Education headquarters in Annapolis.
The options are:
To send children leaving Sunset Elementary School, who otherwise would attend George Fox, to one of two middle schools at Chesapeake Bay Middle about five miles away on Mountain Road.
To put all sixth-graders from Fox and Chesapeake into an all-sixth-grade school in one part of Chesapeake and operate Fox and the other side of Chesapeake for grades seven and eight. While favored by many parents, this option would require about $375,000 for busing.
Two other options were discarded by the board earlier this month.
