A 25-year-old boot camp inmate walked away from his job cleaning the Annapolis state police barracks yesterday morning, but was brought back in the afternoon by his mother, authorities said.

Duval Oliver was serving three years for burglary and was to be released in June, Joan Graham, a spokeswoman for the state Division of Correction, said.

She said Oliver has been moved from the Toulson Boot Camp to the Maryland House of Correction. Both are in Jessup.

Oliver could receive an additional 10 years for escape.
