Seven people including three children injured in Annapolis car crash

UPDATED:

Seven people, including two teenagers and an infant, were injured Sunday night in a one-vehicle car crash in Annapolis.

The accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. near Bay Dale Drive and Route 50, according to a post by the Anne Arundel Fire Department on its Facebook page.

Four patients — a 45-year-old man, a 41-year-old woman, a 14-year-old boy and a 5-month-old boy — were air-lifted by helicopter to adult and pediatric trauma units at Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Fire Department. An ambulance transported a fifth patient, a 14-year-old girl, to Hopkins.

Two other adults who suffered relatively minor injuries were taken to the Anne Arundel Medical Center. The incident summary said that one patient was temporarily trapped inside the car after the crash, but was extricated after about five minutes.
