Vú started out on Harford Road and expanded to Hampden last year. Located near the skateboard park, the small store is the most involved on the local skate scene: Vú has the largest team of competitive skaters in the city and volunteers at events for Baltimore’s Safe Streets program working with young skaters citywide. Oh yeah, it also has a pretty sick selection of kicks and decks, as you would expect. It’s also raising money to build a mini-skate park at the Bell Foundry on Guilford. A skate shop that’s so ingrained in the community has our vote.
