An Anne Arundel County grand jury has indicted a man accused of intentionally setting a house on fire in Glen Burnie, then returning hours later to take pictures of himself in front of the ruins.

Justin Clum, 26, of Pasadena, faces 25 charges, including multiple counts of attempted first- and second-degree murder, arson and assault. He is being held on $1 million bond.

No attorney is listed for Clum in online court records. An initial appearance is scheduled for Monday.

According to charging documents, Clum and his girlfriend were drinking vodka on a community pier during the early morning hours of July 17 when Clum became jealous over one of his girlfriend’s past relationships.

Clum retrieved a gasoline can and drove with his girlfriend to the man’s home on Wendover Road in Glen Burnie, fire investigators said. He set the house on fire as three people slept inside, investigators said.

Flames destroyed the structure. The man with whom Clum was angry wasn’t home when the fire was set.

Hours later, Clum and his girlfriend returned to the home, investigators said, and Clum took photos of himself in front of the ruins. The photos were referred to as “fire selfies” in charging documents.

Soil samples from below the porch of the home tested positive for gasoline. Investigators developed Clum as a suspect and charged him in late August. The grand jury indicted him on Friday.

Clum has been held at Jennifer Road Detention Center in Annapolis since his arrest.
