A pizza delivery driver was robbed Saturday in Aberdeen, city police said.

The victim was delivering pizza for Domino’s Pizza to an apartment building in the first block of East Bel Air Avenue shortly after 9:30 p.m., according to Aberdeen Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Shannon Persuhn.

A male snatched the pizza from the driver, Persuhn said. The driver was then struck from behind and knocked down by another male who forcibly took cash from his pants pocket, she said.

The pizza driver suffered minor scrapes and abrasions, she said. He went to McDonald’s on Route 40 and called police at about 9:45 p.m.

The assailants are described as a white male teenager, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, and a black male teenager, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighting about 160 pounds.

The suspects had not been identified, nor were any arrests made as of Tuesday morning, Persuhn said.
