A 68-year-old man was charged in the stabbing death of his 68-year-old girlfriend Friday night in Cherry Hill.

Police said they responded to a report of a stabbing at the 3000 block of Ascension St. about 11:19 p.m. They found Elizabeth Holland with stab wounds.

“The victim’s boyfriend told officers that he discovered his girlfriend inside the home and unresponsive suffering from stab wounds,” according to a police news release.

Holland was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Homicide detectives investigated the stabbing, and later arrested Holland’s boyfriend, Michael Allen, of the Ascenion Street address. He was charged with first-degree murder. An attorney was not listed in online court records.
