Hons, Greeks and a soulful circus: the best of Baltimore’s arts and entertainment scene this week

Honfest

Baltimore’s annual celebration of cat’s-eye glasses, mile-high hair and an endearing catch-all nickname we like to call one another features lots of food, continuous music and entertainment from three stages and, of course, the Our Li’l Hons Parade (11:15 a.m. Saturday), Ms. Honette Contest (noon Saturday) and the hotly fought-over Baltimore’s Best Hon competition (to be crowned at 3 p.m. Sunday). Celebrating a quarter-century of thrills under the Big Top, this year’s edition features acts from Russia, Trinidad, South Africa, Mongolia, Cuba, China and Ethiopia, as well as the U.S. With animals, acrobats, music, stunt performers, clowns and — or so they promise — “even more soul.” Not to be missed. ‘The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity’

The rollicking tale of Macedonio Guerra, aka Mace, a Puerto Rican wrestler from the Bronx perpetually playing the fall guy in professional wrestling companies. Complete with wrestling stunts, costumes and plenty of kayfabe (which is pretty much the bedrock of professional wrestling, right?). Presented by Cohesion Theatre Company. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 4 p.m. Sundays through June 17 (plus 8 p.m. June 11) at The Fallout Shelter at United Evangelical Church, 923 S. One of country music’s most enduring collaborations (they’ve been married since 1996) bring their “Soul2Soul” world tour to Royal Farms Arena, 201 W. “Be Greek For a Day,” the website urges, which sounds like a great idea. Food, music, culture and fun galore. ‘Bored in the U.S.A.’

Local filmmaker Mike Finazzo’s relationship study, shot in gorgeous black and white (our city has rarely looked more inviting), watches quietly as Kelly and Chris (Kelly Lloyd and Chris Milner), two souls looking for someone to tether themselves to, warily circle one another. 7 p.m. June 7 at The Senator, 5904 York Rd. $10-$15. ‘Ocean’s 8’

Eight women — portrayed by a heavy-duty lineup of Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson and Awkwafina — conspire to commit some major theft at New York’s annual Met Gala. With all sorts of celebrity cameos (and a few faces you might remember from 2001’s “Ocean’s Eleven”). In theaters Thursday.
