UPDATED:

Keith Watson’s popular Dandelion Bakery and Bistro in Glenelg is currently home to an art exhibit by local artist Shawn Costello. The already bright and bold atmosphere of Dandelion has been punctuated with pops of vivid colors in the oil on canvas renderings of the talented Costello. Many recall Costello from her days as an art teacher both at West Friendship and Lisbon Elementary schools. Now retired, Costello has filled her days with painting and in this case, with wow-inducing works depicting people and places in our area. Her portraits and airy renderings of local farms, familiar business spots, pastoral animal scenes and local luminaries like Jim Pffeferkorn on his farm or the Heigh family patriarch of Jenny’s Market in portrait mode, are simply stunning. Beautiful work with an elegant rural aesthetic. Stop by Dandelion and see the exhibit. Costello’s art is like a love note to our region.

What a great team at Morrison Chiropractic. Dr. Brian Morrison, of West Friendship, was anxious to reach out and say thank you to the dedicated volunteers who have been working with the recovery efforts in historic Ellicott City. As a thank you to these volunteers, the Morrison Chiropractic practice offered free mini chiropractic sessions to any folks who had volunteered with the restoration effort. The team set up shop at the Manor Hill Tavern from June 11 to 15. Thank you volunteers and thank you Morrison.
