Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Thursday, Feb. 17.

Boys basketball

Patterson Mill 76, Francis Scott Key 40: The Huskies (18-2) closed the regular season with a nonleague win over the visiting Eagles (15-5). Tyree Wilson scored 26 points and Kyle Luddy added 20. Ryan Rill led FSK with 13. Patterson Mill led at half, 48-19.

Edgewood 73, North Harford 31: The Rams (11-8) beat the host Hawks (4-17) in UCBAC nondivision play. DeAndre Maxwell scored 12 points to lead 11 Rams scorers. Eli Wilson scored 10. Garrett Reinecke and Patrick Shrodes scored eight points apiece for the Hawks.

River Hill 54, Wilde Lake 36: The Hawks (8-6, 8-5 Howard County) tallied their third straight win, avenging an earlier loss against Wilde Lake. Senior Andy Sobhani led River Hill with 14 points, 12 of which came in the second half. Both Brandon Tookes and Demetre Koutras chipped in eight points for the Hawks. Wilde Lake (9-6, 9-6) struggled offensively, finishing with a season-low in points. Nathan Hiteshew led the Wildecats with 14 points, while Sekou Hill added 11.

Marriotts Ridge 55, Mt. Hebron 41: The Mustangs (12-2, 11-2) captured the Howard County championship with a victory over the Vikings. Junior Kaden Bryan bounced back from a season-low two points with a team-high 18. Freshman guard Patrick Curtin also returned to double figures with 14 points. Bryan and Curtin scored 10 of their 32 points in the final quarter. Mt. Hebron (1-13, 1-12) was led by Logan Dunn’s 16 points, eight of which came in the second half.

Reservoir 81, Oakland Mills 64: The Gators (8-6, 7-6 Howard County) thrived offensively with a season-high in points. Building a 13-point halftime lead, Reservoir didn’t look back. Matthew Brathwaite scored a season-high 23 points, while Irby Hunter chipped in 14. Both Cameron Chance and Zech Chin tallied 12. Oakland Mills (4-11, 3-11) was led by Heath Franklin, who finished with a season-high 16 points. The Scorpions battled down the stretch as Dejuan Taylor had 11 points, but the double-digit halftime lead was too much to overcome.

Glenelg 45, Hammond 29: In a low-scoring defensive battle, the Gladiators (11-5, 8-5 Howard County) earned their fourth straight win. Bisi Owens was the catalyst for Glenelg with 27 points, including 12 in the second half, in another strong performance for Howard County’s leading scorer. Hammond (4-9, 3-9) struggled offensively with a season-low in points as Ian Addison led the way with 11.

No. 5 Parkville 104, Dundalk 68: The Knights got 28 points from Caron Smith to cruise past the Owls and complete a 20-0 season. Parkville, winners of Baltimore County Division I, will host Division II winner Randallstown for the county championship at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Randallstown 81, Woodlawn 46: Quentin Wells scored 18 points and Jayden Jeffers added 16 as the Rams (14-3) wrapped up a spot in next week’s Baltimore County title game at Parkville.

St. Frances 75, Loyola Blakefield 70, OT: The host Panthers (31-4, 15-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference Black Division) stayed perfect in league play with a win over the Dons (15-10, 10-5).

Girls basketball

Havre de Grace 60, Aberdeen 44: The Warriors (13-6) beat the host Eagles (1-17) in an UCBAC nondivision game. Kaedence Bryant led Havre de Grace with 23 points, while Azareya Whiting added 11.

Fallston 54, North East 24: The Cougars (17-4) closed the regular season with a UCBAC nondivision win over the visiting Indians (7-12). Lindsey Detloft scored 11 points and Jillian Crawford added 10 points and seven assists. Allie Book added eight points and six assists. Amanda Sharpe had eight points, six rebounds and five blocks, while Cheyenne Wong had a team-best eight rebounds.

Howard 64, Long Reach 8: The Lions (15-0, 13-0 Howard County) completed an undefeated regular season for the second year in a row. Junior guard Gabby Kennerly finished with 21 points to lead Howard, while senior Gabby Scott chipped in 12. Senior Kaylee Delossantos tied a season-high with eight points, while freshman Meghan Yarnevich also tallied double figures with 10 points. Long Reach (0-13, 0-13) was held scoreless in the second quarter as Jaylah Putnam scored three points to lead the Lightning.

Marriotts Ridge 49, Mt. Hebron 24: The Mustangs (10-6, 8-5 Howard County) earned their fourth straight win to close out the regular season, avenging an earlier loss to the Vikings. Junior Kerri Lee scored a season-high 15 points and added five rebounds. Freshman Jaden Washington (11) and senior Talia Trotter (13) combined for 24 points. Trotter also left her imprint on the game defensively with five steals. Mt. Hebron (11-5, 9-4 Howard County) struggled offensively without its leading scorer, senior guard Erin Dixon. Senior Audrey Harrington led the Vikings with seven points.

Reservoir 55, Oakland Mills 41: The Gators (4-9, 3-9) completed their regular season with a victory on senior night. Senior Emily Jerome posted a double-double for Reservoir with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Gabi Burian added 10 points, three assists and two rebounds. Gators senior Maddy Davis, who is out for the season with a torn ACL, scored the game’s first basket. Oakland Mills (1-13, 1-12) battled throughout after trailing by 15 at halftime. Janiyah Anderton led the Scorpions with 11 points, while MaKayla Pritchett added eight.

Glenelg 61, Hammond 43: The Gladiators (7-8, 6-7 Howard County) bounced back from their most recent loss with a key victory. Monika Krunkaitis thrived throughout, posting a season-high 24 points, including five threes. Lauren LaPointe chipped in 18 points, her seventh consecutive game in double figures, while Maria Garbis added 13. Hammond (4-8, 4-8) was led by Kaylee Beahm with 14 points and Nia Green with 11.

Arundel 74, Digital Harbor 20: Heather Middleton scored a game-high 40 points on 11 2-pointers, five 3-pointers and a 3-for-3 performance from the free-throw line to lead the host Wildcats over the Rams. Arundel opened with a 38-4 run.

John Carroll 45, St. Timothy’s 43, OT: Meghan Ruth and Vivian Carrico each scored 12 points to lead the visiting Patriots (13-7) past St. Timothy’s (12-6) in an Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference semifinal. Tessa Boswell added 10 points and Myah Simmons chipped in seven.

Francis Scott Key 56, Winters Mill 38: After a strong start by FSK, the Falcons were able to make a run to end the first quarter. A 16-point second quarter gave the Eagles a 26-18 halftime lead. Ally Mathias went 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the third to help the Eagles build a strong lead. Mathias finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and three blocks. Caroline Kohr added 15 points, five rebounds and three steals. Drew Watkins added nine points, six rebounds and three steals. Rayna Miller finished with seven points, four rebounds and four steals, while Abby Reiger chipped in five points and five assists.

Greater Grace 61, Rockbridge 40: Chloe Wiese led Rockbridge with 17 points. Emma Williams had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Ebun Shadare finished with six points and seven rebounds.

Mercy 64, St. Mary’s 45: The Saints couldn’t dig out of an early hole in their semifinal loss against No. 1 Mercy. Toronto Williams had 15 points in the loss, and Baily Walden was right behind her with 14.

City 45, Annapolis 33: Cassidy Wilkerson had 10 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals for Annapolis. Zariah Morgan had eight points and nine rebounds, while Jordan Brady chipped in seven points.
