Four people were injured in a house fire in Canton and sent to a local hospital in serious condition Saturday morning, the Baltimore fire department said.
About sixty firefighters arrived at the two-alarm fire around 5 a.m. to the 1200 block of S. Highland Ave., where a three-story rowhome had heavy fire on multiple floors. The fire spread to two adjacent homes, the fire department said. Four people in one house escaped before firefighters arrived but sustained smoke inhalation, the fire department said.
The fire was controlled around 7:30 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
