Hereford 5, Pikesville 2: Ryan Larkin threw six innings, striking out 11 as the Bulls won their 13th straight. Ryan Elseroad had a pair of doubles and two RBIs and Drew Kinsey also drove in two. Jack Millman had two hits and an RBI for Pikesville.
Parkville 9, Franklin 6: Jason Benton had three hits, including a double, and four RBIs to lead the Knights. Gavin Bigelow added three hits and three RBIs.
Towson 16, Dundalk 1: The Generals scored five in the first and never looked back. They scored 16 runs on just eight hits, taking advantage of 11 walks and seven Owl errors. Michael Stamatos and Samuel Bayne each drove in two runs.
Dulaney 26, Loch Raven 7: Nate Smith went 4-for-6 with a pair of doubles and seven RBIs in the Lions’ win. Grant Kirstukas and Andrew Szalczyk each drove in two runs. Ryan Jemellaro had two hits and an RBI.
Severna Park 8, Crofton 7: Jimmy Miller’s sacrifice fly scored Clay Weaver in the ninth inning for a walk-off win. Miller had two RBIs in the game. Ben Peacock and Luke Herz each had two hits with an RBI.
South River 5, Old Mill 4: Josh Long had a two-run double for the Seahawks. Brandon Stewart added a pair of hits. Derek Hooker pitched 2? innings of relief for the win allowing two hits, no runs and striking out two. Old Mill was led by Caelen Witcher who went 2-for-4.
Broadneck 30, Meade 0: Nick Stergiou had three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs for the Bruins. Joe Robertson had a pair of doubles and four RBIs. Stergiou and Chase Stone combined on a one-hitter.
Chesapeake 4, Annapolis 1: Winner Nick Karls gave up one run on two hits and struck out eight.. Owen Schmidt had two hits, including an RBI double for Chesapeake.
Southern 5, Glen Burnie 0: Churchill Bridgman threw a four-hit shutout. Justin Knapp had two hits including a double and drove in a run for Southern. Tom Martin added an RBI.
River Hill 11, Oakland Mills 2: The Hawks (13-2, 12-0 Howard County) were led by both Will Kilcoyne and Sean McGowan who each finished with four RBIs. Kilcoyne finished 2-for-4, while McGowan finished 1-for-3. Daniel Sheehan earned the victory, throwing four scoreless innings striking out seven.
Marriotts Ridge 4, Atholton 3: The Mustangs (10-3) won on a walk-off for the second consecutive day as Brady Fenlon drove in two runs with a basehit in the seventh. Chris Savage started for Marriotts Ridge throwing six innings allowing three runs on two hits with four strikeouts. For Atholton 6-8, 4-6 Howard County), Liam Snow pitched six innings striking out seven.
Reservoir 7, Howard 0: The Gators (11-3, 9-3 Howard County) won their seventh straight. Justin Gutierrez finished 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs. Zach Gaynor finished doubled and stole four bases. Ben Davis also had an RBI double, as Travis Thompson pitched a complete game allowing just two hits with eight strikeouts.
Wilde Lake 9, Hammond 3: The Wildecats (4-9, 4-8 Howard County) scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a commanding 8-0 lead. Derek Fermaint went 2-for-4 at the plate including a three-run home run and a stolen base. He also pitched a complete game, striking out 14. Brady McGonigal also had a three-run home run, his third homer of the season. The Golden Bears (4-8, 3-8) were led by Nick Wilk who hit a two-run home run.
Havre de Grace 13, Joppatowne 3: Damon Presberry Jr. allowed five hits in six innings to get the win. Aaron Santiago and Bryce Bauer eached had two hits for the Warriors.
Century 11, Westminster 2: The Knights held a two-run lead before scoring seven runs in the fifth inning. RJ Branch singled, doubled and drove in two runs. Owen Roach also had two hits. Konnor Walker had three hits and two RBIs for the Owls.
Manchester Valley 10, Francis Scott Key 7: The Mavericks held a comfortable 8-1 lead before the Eagles made things interesting with six fifth-inning runs, but Manchester Valley held on. B Becker singled, doubled and drove in three runs.
Glenelg Country 7, Severn 0: Winner Trey Miller went seven innings, gave up two hits, walked four and struck out five to lead the visiting Dragons (8-6, 7-5 MIAA B Conference) past the Admirals (4-10, 4-7). Glenelg Country has won its past two games.
Bel Air 9, C. Milton Wright 0: Senior Jack Snyder threw a two-hitter with five strikeouts for the Bobcats, while adding a triple on offense.
Softball
Towson 7, Catonsville 1: Tied at 1 after five innings, the Generals scored six in the sixth. Hannah McElhenny hit a two-run home run in the frame. Marin Harris had three hits, including a triple, and an RBI. Lexi Predmore threw a six-hitter with seven strikeouts.
Carver A&T 9, Perry Hall 3: Mallory Cooper struck out 16 to lead the visiting Wildcats (10-1) over the Gators. She went seven innings, gave up three runs on four hits. Offensively, Cooper had a double and an RBI. Carver A&T scored four runs in the seventh inning.
Century 10, Westminster 0: Hannah Zabik threw a five-inning two hitters. She also doubled and drove in three runs. Caylee Clark went 3-for-3 with two RBIs. Emma Zuckerman and Megan Hollander each had two RBIs.
Liberty 8, South Carroll 6: Hailey Seaton had three RBIs and Erin Martin had three hits to pace the Lions. Leyla Hoffman and Natalie Crane also drove in runs for Liberty. Maddie Karns had three hits and three RBIs for South Carroll.
McDonogh 11, Winters Mill 1: McDonogh grabbed a 4-1 lead after the first inning and only built on it from there. Maddie Brooks drove in a run for the Falcons.
Arundel 3, Northeast 2: Kathryn Wisor reached on an error in the bottom of the eighth, Sierra Williams scored on the play giving the Wildcats a walk-off win. Wisor had two RBIs on the day. She also pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts.
Chesapeake 16, Annapolis 0: Jayden Buchanan had two hits and two RBIs to lead the Cougars. Ava Cichetti also had two hits. Kacie Burkhart struck out nine in five innings.
Long Reach 7, Mt. Hebron 5: The Lightning (5-6) were led by Taylor Slonac and Madison Wise, each finishing with three hits. Kaitlynne Streets went 2-for-3, including a two-run double, also picking up the win in the circle, striking out seven. The Vikings (8-4) were led by Alison Scioli with three hits.
Marriotts Ridge 11, Atholton 4: The Mustangs (3-6) were led by Lauren Tolle, Addie Flynn, Melina Parson and Saige Spittler who each finished with two hits. Parson and Spittler both had a team-high two RBIs. Marriotts Ridge scored four runs in the fourth to break open the game. Kyra Holtje homered for the Raiders.
River Hill 17, Oakland Mills 2: The Hawks (7-4) put up seven runs in the first inning and didn’t look back. Katarina Thompson earned the win in the circle, striking out seven. Laura Mason was 2-for-2, while Kathleen Maiorana also went 2-for-3 with a double. Zoe Pachoca had a home run. Paige Andrews had two hits for Oakland Mills.
North Harford 3, Perryville 2: Mackenzie Dunaway broke a 2-2 tie with an RBI single in the sixth inning and the host Hawks beat the Panthers. Maggie Mullin went seven innings, gave up two runs on four hits and struck out four for the win. North Harford had nine hits.
Girls lacrosse
Atholton 15, Long Reach 8: The Raiders (4-5, 3-5 Howard County) earned their third straight win as Kendall Dean dazzled with a Howard County season-high 10-goal performance. Dean also registered her 100th career point with Atholton. Aryanna Kelley added two goals. The Lightning (2-8, 0-6) were led by Chiara Pompei with four goals.
Glenelg 20, Centennial 6: The Gladiators (12-0, 7-0 Howard County) scored 20 or more goals for the third consecutive game. Emma Kennedy scored seven goals, also adding an assist. Lauren LaPointe scored four times as Maura Murphy added a hat trick, with Jocelyn Torres making four saves. For the Eagles (6-3, 5-3), Alaina Kelly led the way with two goals and two assists.
Reservoir 14, Hammond 3: The Gators (5-5, 3-4 Howard County) earned their third straight win as Kat Thayer and Alex Ripkin spearheaded the offense with four goals each, as Thayer added an assist. Megan Cooper scored twice, while Alana Leak added a goal and two assists. Karla Carranza made three saves.
Howard 20, Oakland Mills 9: The Lions (7-3, 6-3 Howard County) won their fourth straight game. The Scorpions (2-8, 0-6) were led by Sara Novak with seven goals, her fourth straight game with five or more goals. Kaity Browne also chipped in two goals and two assists.
Mt. Hebron 17, River Hill 14: The Vikings (7-2, 6-1 Howard County) earned their straight win led by Ellie Smith and Olivia Hoover. Smith had four goals and two assists, while Hoover had four goals. Kate Webb and Audrey Harrington both had hat tricks, as Webb finished with two assists. For River Hill, (5-6, 4-4), Erine Devine and Claire Slade each scored five goals.
Marriotts Ridge 17, Catonsville 5: The Mustangs (8-4) were led by Maisy Clevenger who scored a season-high eight goals, also adding two assists. Annika Huelskamp had a hat trick, while both Caroline Albert and Sofie Bender scored twice.
South Carroll 14, Francis Scott Key 7: Leah Miller had seven goals and Shannon McTavish had three goals to lead the host Cavaliers over the Eagles. South Carroll led 7-1 in the first half. Miller and McTavish each also handed out two assists. In goal, Claire Vasquenza made seven saves.
Boys lacrosse
Reservoir 15, Hammond 0: The Gators (4-5, 3-5 Howard County) were led by Joseph Schinner with seven goals and two assists, his third straight game with five goals or more. Graham Leary chipped in four points (two goals, two assists) as Octavian Galu and Trevor Baer also scored twice.
Mt. Hebron 10, River Hill 1: The Vikings (10-1, 7-0 Howard County) were led by Nick Machiran, who scored his first hat trick of the season, also adding an assist. Maverick Smith scored twice as Gavin Fleck added a goal and two assists. For River Hill, Nate Bacon scored the lone goal as Charlie Chuckhuhn made 15 saves.
Glenelg 11, Centennial 9: The Gladiators (9-3, 6-0 Howard County) were led by Jack Hampton with four goals. Chris Iannarino and Nick Dalton each scored twice and added assists. For Centennial (6-3, 5-3), Josh Flick scored a team-high five goals. Goalie Evan Deitrich made 22 saves.
Atholton 15, Long Reach 2: The Raiders (3-6, 3-5 Howard County) scored nine straight goals in the second half as Glen Billard scored a team-high five goals, his second time in the last three games with five. Spencer Kransick had a season-high six points (three goals, three assists) and Jared Segal had a hat trick.
Bel Air 4, Harford Tech 2: Devin Trzeciak had a hat trick and Dylan Foughty had a goal and two assists to lead the visiting Bobcats over the Cobras. The game was tied 1-1 in the first half.
Severna Park 18, Northeast 1: The Falcons led 8-0 at halftime, then added seven third-quarter goals. RJ Breeden scored the lone goal for Northeast. Blaine Bennett made 10 saves.
Boys tennis
Marriotts Ridge 5, Atholton 0: Sai Charan Chodavarapu and Arnav Srivastava each earned commanding singles victories. Shreyas Rath and Pedro Arantes Gabriel, Jerry He and Alex Yang, and Samuel Lim and Hamin Kim swept all three doubles matches as the Mustangs advanced to 10-0.
Hammond 4, Wilde Lake 1: The Golden Bears secured their first team victory since the 2019 season as Matthew Batmunkh won in No. 2 singles. Eyoseyas Admassu and Quinn Moses, William Roeum and Dimitri Lachaud, and Grayson Gunderson and Pieter Aarsberen swept the doubles matches.
Reservoir 3, Howard 2: Josh Cai and Edwin Brown won singles matches for the Gators, while Sean Kim and Will Tao won first doubles in a tiebreak for the winning point. Tyson Nguyen and Hubert Yu, and Nathan Gong and Krish Shroff won doubles matches for Howard.
Manchester Valley 5, Francis Scott Key 0: Ian Bartles and Kamden Estes each won singles matches. Doubles wins came from the teams of Anthony Davenport and Declan McGarry, Tim Woodley and Zach Meyers, and August Jones and Austin Zeigenfuse.
Liberty 5, South Carroll 0: Honour Zan and Nikhil Andhavarapu won singles matches, while doubles wins came from Arjun Mistry and Paul Chu, Connor Clapper and Austin Cirri, and Hayden Speace and Blake Vandenberge.
Century 4, Westminster 1: The Knights were paced with a singles win from Jack Amerault and a doubles sweep.
Girls tennis
Marriotts Ridge 3, Atholton 2: After losing both singles matches, the Mustangs won all three doubles matches. Anna Ottman and Hashini Amarasinghe, Charita Sandoze and Vinita Badugu, and Haeli Shah and Mahika Juneja won as doubles pairings. The Mustangs are now 9-1.
Wilde Lake 4, Hammond 1: Alison Bent and Olivia Ametewee earned singles victories for the Wildecats. Kathryn Kulesz and Danielle Lachaud earned the Golden Bears’ lone victory of the day in No. 1 doubles. May Dim and Cingh Cing and Alayna Diedermyer and Fadekemi Adebisi won as the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles pairings for Wilde Lake.
Howard 3, Reservoir 2: The Lions got a singles win from Corinne Chau plus doubles wins from Presley Caroland and Viola Tu, and Preethi Narayanan and Medha Hegde. Reservoir got a single swin from Alanna Ko and a doubles win from Gia Santos and Karen Yhim.
Manchester Valley 5, Francis Scott Key 0: Mackenzie Dicke and Courtney Bell each won 6-0, 6-0 singles matches, while the top doubles team of Emily McElwaine and Madison MacGregor did the same. Faith Colendar and Katy Resh, and Lilly Hicks and Kara Chwang also won doubles matches.
Liberty 3, South Carroll 2: The Lions swept doubles play to earn the win. Victories came from Madison Haggerty and Grace Maerten, Val Davis and Shannon Hope, and Mariah Talford and Amelia Mustico. Casey Reno and Audrey Lillycrop won singles matches for the Cavaliers.
Century 3, Westminster 2: In the loss for the Owls, Daphnee Whitmore won first singles, while Jennifer Sorkin and Katherine Raab remained unbeaten at first doubles.
