Dress up, have fun and support a good cause at the 47th annual Solstice Gala at the Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St. Dance to the music of Tidewater Drive. Proceeds raised from the event support free admission for all Maryland school children and their teachers for field trips to the museum. Experience director Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi cult classic in a new way: with a live score of hip hop, soul and funk music orchestrated by DJ 2-Tone Jones at Can I Kick It? “Starship Troopers” at The Theater at the Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Ave. The movie is based on the Hugo Award-winning novel of the same name by Robert A.
