Celebrate Independence Day in Baltimore. The Baltimore Office of Promotions & the Arts, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore announced live music and a fireworks display. Live music includes DJ C. James, Avenue 66 and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The fireworks and drone show starts at 9:30 p.m. with musical accompaniment by the BSO and will last 15 minutes. Thursday: Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival

Walk along the shoreline of the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River to listen to live music and see art and fireworks at the 8th annual Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival “South Baltimore Strong,” at 3301 Waterview Ave. Enjoy performances by headliners N’Dea Davenport and Sister Carol (featuring Nakeeba Amaniye). You won’t need to say the bio-exorcist’s name three times to make him appear. Just get your tickets to this weekend’s performance of “Beetlejuice” at the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, 12 N. Eutaw St. The musical is based on the 1988 fantasy/horror/comedy film by Tim Burton.  Ticket prices range from $57 to $238. Friday: Baltimore Comedy Fest

Being quiet at the library is suspended for one night and laughter is allowed at the 8th annual Baltimore Comedy Fest at the Enoch Pratt Free Library, 400 Cathedral St. Local and national comedians will perform their routines.  Beer and wine will be served. Listen to a punk rock concert and help overlooked furry friends get adopted at Punk for Pets – A Benefit for Outcats And Underdogs at Metro Baltimore, 1700 N. Charles St.  Bands includes Distortion Inc., Luxury Teeth, Like No Tomorrow and Hamilton Outlaw. Admission costs $15.45. Watch players sink 4-pointers when The BIG3 basketball league comes to CFG Bank Arena, 201 W. Baltimore St. The professional basketball league was founded by actor/rapper Ice Cube and talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz. Ticket prices range from $22 to $850.
