Man in critical condition after shooting near Druid Hill Park on Friday

A 29-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting near Druid Hill Park on Friday evening.

Around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 3300 block of Swann Drive to investigate a call for a shooting. According to a news release, when officers arrived they found a 29-year-old man with numerous life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Northern District Shooting detectives responded to the incident and assumed control over this investigation, according to the news release.

Also, at around 8:59 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to an area hospital to investigate a call for a walk-in shooting victim.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 27-year-old male suffering from numerous gunshot wounds.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in the Druid Heighs neighborhood, according to a news release.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and have assumed control over this investigation.
