Channel Your Favorite Superhero

Both gazillionaires. Both techy. But only one had an iron suit (That we know of). Tony Stark is just the type of guy to read up on other gurus of the industry and probably end up tinkering with the designs. Imagine if Stark Industries came up with the iPhone? 

This might seem like low hanging fruit, but Thor definitely seems like the type to drink ale and relive his glory days in a book. Neil Gaiman weaves the old myths into a narrative would surely delight the god of thunder. If not, Mr. Gaiman might have his own Ragnarok.  

As a geeky boy, Tony Stark is Peter Parker’s hero. Reading about his exploits and heroic deeds is exactly how the Spider-Man would spend his time, learning from the Iron Man’s completed missions. Consider it part of his internship at Stark Labs. 

Captain America is the original old man who fell into the sea. Too far of stretch? But he’s also the All-American leader of superheroes, and there’s some out there who would consider Ernest Hemingway the All-American leader of writers. Both Ernest and Steve Rogers are American classics. 

If Dominika Egorova and the Black Widow had teamed up, Hydra would have never stood a chance. Both of these kick-ass women have worked for Russian espionage, but only one has fought aliens. Still, there are a few moves from Egorova’s playbook that the Black Widow might find appealing.  

Set in a world that rivals Wakanda (But let’s be honest: Wakanda Forever), Black Leopard, Red Wolf is about different animal in the cat family: a shape-shifting man-animal known as Leopard. The Black Panther would be intrigued by this novel as it explores the fundamentals of truth and the limits of power, both things that the King of Wakanda grapples with.  

We all know that the Hulk is a nerd, but he is a righteous nerd on a mission. That’s why he would be engrossed by this scientific book that has heroes that got angry and fought for what’s right. Plus, the green on the cover doesn’t hurt. 

Can’t you imagine Clint Barton and Katniss swapping secrets on the art of archery? Both these heroes wield the bow and arrow with deft skill, but their tortured pasts and focus on family are two other aspects they share.  

After the loss of her lover and her brother, the Scarlet Witch is due for some healing. She feels angry, lost and alone, just like survivor May in The Lucky Ones. This teen novel explores how to live after loss and tragedy and how to keep fighting, even when not assembling with the Avengers.

A time-traveling secret agent? No, we are not talking about the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange but the main protagonist in Mike Chen’s Here and Now and Then. After his mission goes awry, Kin Stewart is torn between two lives, even putting his daughter’s very existence at risk. One final trip could save her. Too bad he doesn’t have Wong as back up.
