Braves stick with Wall and Short at bottom of lineup

Adam Duvall moves up to sixth, ahead of Sean Murphy

It’s Independence Day and not Father’s Day, but even so, I’m not mad, just disappointed, about the bottom of tonight’s lineup. It’s Forrest Wall and Zack Short, again. While the Braves got here thanks to oh so many injuries, it’s still a lame place to be. After David Fletcher and Luis Guillorme existing, having Short making his 16th start of the year for the team feels especially bad.

The Braves have not yet used this specific lineup; Sean Murphy hit ahead of Adam Duvall in a similar configuration in the series opener.

The Giants are also basically reprising their lineup from the opener; a flip-flop of the seventh and eighth spots is the only difference.
