When I paid them on June 3rd to deliver my motorcycle they made it sound like I would have it in a couple of weeks on the phone. They sent me an email showing an estimate of June 19. I find out later they are at the mercy of the trucking company that they broker to. I now have an estimate of July 5th. I dont trust I will get in then. I cant talk to the trucking company and they say they are hard to communicate with. I have trip planned for July 11 on said motorcycle. If I knew it would take a month, I never would have used them. They say they will call back and don't. I could have hired a private driver to get it cheaper and faster. I don't feel that they have any control once the trucking company pick up the vehicle. Montway is not a carrier. Just a broker. Remember that when you use them. I have no idea when I will get my bike. The estimate you first get is not even close as far as my experience is going.Montway Auto Transport Response

Montway said that they could get my car ready to be shipped in 1-5 days. That was the first conversation we had. So I a few days later I called them back after getting some other quotes from other companies. I booked with them to have my car picked up within that 1-5 day window. It was a monday, and I was looking for the car to be picked up saturday or Sunday. So I enter my credit card details and I get a receipt. Over the next 2 full days Montway called me-and or sent me-three different confirmation emails/calls. I couldn't answer one call because it was in the middle of the workday, but I used the link they sent me in a text to confirm my pickup on tuesday. Then on Wednesday, they called me again and said they still needed more confirmation. During this call, they told me my 5 day pickup window would begin but that they assured me it would be picked up within 3 days. So I waited, and received no call from them, so finally, I called back and they said it wouldn't be picked up until the next week, after my flight out of town. I called them, and they continuously-like it was in their handbook-blamed me for the problem, when it took them 3 full days to process my order and in the first email where I paid it said my 1-5 day window had begun. i asked for a refund and they denied it, I asked for a discount which they also denied. I then had to pay someone to wait with my car because I was already gone, and they also denied just ******************************* to have someone wait with the car. Throughout the experience, they continued to try and blame me and offered no remorse and or offer of a discount for all their screwups. Book with someone else.Montway Auto Transport Response

We send multiple emails to clarify our requirements and the reasons behind our verification process, and I can assure you that we have followed through on this diligently.
Regarding your specific shipment, your vehicle was verified with a first available date (FAD) of 5/22 and was loaded on 5/27, which falls within our typical timeframe estimates. As we have fulfilled our services within the expectations outlined in the contract, we regret that we are unable to offer any compensation.

We were very pleased with the service from Montway. ****************, the driver, picked up our car on June 26 from ********, **, and brought it to *************, ** on June 9. **************** was careful, attentive, and safely dropped off our car. When originally scheduling they asked for a 5 day pick up window, then scheduled my puck up 4 days after the end of my window, called to get it rescheduled they then scheduled for the second to last day of my pick up window. Pick up was then delayed 2 times with out notifying me, I had to call when they didn't show up at the designated time to asked where they were. These delays cause the car to be picked up outside of my designated pick up time frame. When I called to say that it wouldn't work. The asked me to leave my keys in the car and the car parked in a random parking lot which is a completely unacceptable answer to the problem. When I tried to cancel they wanted to charge me a $250 cancelation fee on a $300 deposited when they couldn't uphold the end of their of the agreement advertised as door to door service, both times for ***** off and pick up I had to arrange to meet them somewhere.Montway Auto Transport Response

You may book using our Guaranteed *************** which would ensure that your vehicle is retrieved by a local carrier on or by a specified date, but a standard service is subject to change at any time. Montway's ****-to-**** policy also states that the drivers will pick-up and deliver as close as safely and legally possible. Montway is unable to offer any guarantees on the ****-to-**** services because the drivers have to make the determination of where they can legally and safely perform a pick-up or delivery. In the past, I have hired trucks for movement of grains and produce. Moving a car is stressful, knowing what I know about trucking. MAT was a leap of faith. When I called the first trucker, they knew nothing of my transport. This concerned me. The trucker reassured me and said he would call MAT, then call me back. *** called me and gave me a name of another trucker. The new trucker in-turn called me and gave me an ETA. He showed up on time and was very competent. The cars I had moved were delivered without any issues. The transporter gave me position reports and delivered the cars to the destination as scheduled.DCMontway Auto Transport Response
