Cambodian textile workers killed during pay protest

At least three people have been killed and several others injured after police opened fire on textile workers protesting in Cambodia.

A number of demonstrations have taken place in the country's capital, Phnom Penh, as protesters call for the government to double the minimum wage.

Half a million Cambodians work in the garment industry, which is a key source of national income.

Anna McMullen, from Labour Behind The Label, told BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire: "There's a huge gap between what they are being paid and what they need to be paid to live with dignity."
