Qatar Motorcycle Grand Prix

Qatar’s Lusail racetrack, which is 3.37 miles long, is where each MotoGP season now starts, with the first race having taken place here in 2004. This racing event usually takes place at night because the daytime temperatures in this part of the world are too hot – the heat has a huge impact on the integrity of the tires, which is a big safety issue. The most successful rider on this circuit is Jorge Lorenzo with six wins, while Aprilia is the most successful manufacturer as they have 12 wins under their belt.

Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix

Between 1949 and 1990, this motorcycling event was called the Gran Premio Delle Nazioni Nations Grand Prix, and it was one of the original races of the motorcycle racing calendar. For the first two decades or so of its existence, this race took place at Monza, and then rotated between numerous circuits between 1972 and 1993. Since 1994, this race has taken place at the Mugello Circuit, which is 3.26 miles long. The most successful rider is Giacomo Agostini with 13 wins, while Honda have claimed no fewer than 48 manufacturer wins.

British Motorcycle Grand Prix

British motorcycling races used to take place in the Isle of Man, but the circuit was eventually deemed too dangerous when Gilbert Parlotti lost his life there in 1972. The first British Motorcycle Grand Prix outside the Isle of Man took place at Silverstone in 1977, before being moved to Donington Park between 1987 and 2009. Since 2010, the British MotoGP race has mostly be raced on the Silverstone Circuit, which is 3.67 miles long. Valentino Rossi is the most successful rider with eight wins, while Honda have claimed the manufacturer trophy on 42 occasions.

Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been taking place at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit since 1997 – this circuit, which is 3.31 miles long, is one of the prettiest circuits on the MotoGP calendar. Before 1997, some other noticeable circuits where this race took place include Eastern Creek just west of Sydney and Bathurst which is located in central western New South Wales. Valentino Rossi has another eight wins here, while Honda have a total of 39 titles to their name.

Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix

The Suzuka Circuit was the main venue for the Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix for years, but in 2004 it was replaced by the Mobility Resort Motegi, which is 2.98 miles long. This was because it was deemed too dangerous due to its short runoffs and trackside barriers – these features cost Daijiro Kato his life in 2003, while badly injuring Alex Barros and Marco Melandri. Marc MΓ‘rquez has won five races here, which is more than any other rider, while Honda have been the most successful manufacturer once again with 49 wins.

Betiton UK MotoGP Betting Markets

At Betiton UK, we offer our punters competitive MotoGP betting odds for a variety of exciting markets. Some novice bettors might think that the options for MotoGP bets is quite limited, but this actually not the case. We offer a range of MotoGP markets that cater to the different aspects of this entertaining sport. We are now going to look at some of the most popular markets.

Championship Winner

You can try and predict the rider who will go on and win the championship after all races have been raced. The 2024 MotoGP season, as you saw in the table above, will have 21 races and works with a points-based system. The rider with the most points at the end of the 21st race will be crowned the champion. With outright bets, it is best to place your wager as soon as possible as the odds will shorten with each passing race.

Podium Finish

This is similar to each-way betting in horse racing as your selected rider will win you money if they manage to finish in one of the top three positions. Since each race has 22 riders, betting on the winner of a race can be pretty limiting, and you can increase your chances of seeing some sort of return by opting for the podium finish betting option.

Rider vs Rider

With this kind of MotoGP bet, you have to pick the winner from two riders. Your chosen rider does not even have to go on and win the race; all that matters is that they finish in a better position than the rider that they were pitted against. Such a market does not usually come with high MotoGP betting odds, but it is an entertaining market to try your luck on.

Without Driver

This market theoretically takes one driver out of the equation, and it will usually be the driver who is the favourite to go on and win the race. This is a bit like handicap betting as you are basically levelling the playing field. It also makes it more interesting from a gambling perspective as it takes away the short odds of the favourite and you can bet on one of the underdogs and have a better chance of winning.

MotoGP Betting Odds Explained by Betiton UK

When it comes to betting odds MotoGP, there are three different formats that you can find at Betiton UK and these are fractional, decimal, and American. We have decided that decimal odds will be the default setting here at Betiton UK, but you can change this in the top right corner of the page. If you are new to MotoGP online betting, then fear not as we will now explain each format briefly.

Decimal

Since these are popular across the European continent, they are sometimes known as European odds. The number that you are given tells you how much will be paid out for a winning wager. For example, if you were to bet Β£10 on a rider to win at odds of 6.00, and they do exactly that, then you will see a return of Β£60 in total. This will be Β£50 gains and your original Β£10 stake.

Fractional

Fractional odds are most popular across Great Britain, which is why they are sometimes called British odds. The number tells you the amount that you can win for every Β£1 that is bet. For instance, if you put a stake of Β£10 down with odds of 8/1 and it is a winner, then you will get Β£90 back. This would be your original Β£10 wager and Β£80 worth of profit.

American

These odds, as you can tell from the name, are popular in the United States. They are different due to the fact that they come with a plus and minus sign. The plus sign indicates who the underdog is and the amount that you can win by betting $100, while the minus sign tells us who the perceived favourite is and the amount that you have to wager to win $100.
