Best offensive player at each position in the NFC East

From 2023 to 2024, there's been some significant changes made in the NFC East division via free agency and the NFL draft. The Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants all have some talented players on their rosters, but which of them are the best at their given positions?

Today, we are going to scour the NFC East division and identify who we believe to be the best player at each position on the offensive side of the ball. Opinions will vary of course, but that's part of sports and why we enjoy doing these types of exercises.

QB - Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Let the debate begin. Dak Prescott is the best QB in the NFC East and one of the best in the entire league, evidenced by finishing runner-up to Lamar Jackson for the league's MVP award last season. There is a chance Jalen Hurts could surpass him in 2024 though.

RB - Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles

Well, this is an easy one. Saquon Barkley may have switched teams in the NFC East, going from the Giants to the Eagles, but he still remains the best RB in the division. He could have a career year in Philadelphia behind their OL and the weapons surrounding him.

WR (X) - A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles

A.J. Brown could be looking over his shoulder in 2024 to make sure the Giants rookie WR Malik Nabers doesn't overtake him as the best WR (X) in the NFC East. Fortunately for him, Nabers is a significant disadvantage with Daniel Jones as his QB.

WR (Z) - Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders

Poor and sporadic QB play has hurt Terry McLaurin's production and Pro Bowl votes throughout his career, but he still somehow manage is to be highly productive despite that. He is one of the best and most underrated WRs in the entire league.

WR (slot) - CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Although he is not primarily a slot WR, it is where CeeDee Lamb is the most productive and does the most damage. He's only 25 years old is a three-time Pro Bowler and is coming off his first First-Team All-Pro season in 2023.

TE - Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys

It's a neck and neck race between Jake Ferguson and Dallas Goedert as to who's the best tight end in the NFC East, but we give Ferguson the edge. He's younger with more upside and was the more productive of the two last season in his first full year as a starter.

LT - Andrew Thomas, New York Giants

A healthier-than-normal Tyron Smith was the best left tackle last season in the NFC East, but with him moving on via free agency to the Jets, Andrew Thomas once again takes over as the top tackle. Eagles' LT Jordan Mailata could be in the running as well in 2024.

LG - Tyler Smith, Dallas Cowboys

The Eagles LG Landon Dickerson has been the top player his position in the NFC East for the past two years, but Tyler Smith overtook him with his play last season. It could be a neck and neck race between the two to become the top dog in 2024.

OC - Tyler Biadasz, Washington Commanders

Tyler Biadasz slides into the top spot as Washington's new OC thanks to Jason Kelce's retirement for now. Expected first-year starters Cam Jurgens (Eagles) and Cooper Beebe (Cowboys) could overtake him at some point in 2024.

RG - Zack Martin, Dallas Cowboys

Zack Martin is a seven-time First-Team All-Pro and nine-time Pro Bowl player at right guard, and was at that a doubt the best player at his position in the NFC East. The 33-year-old could be contemplating retirement after this year, making 2024 his swansong.

RT - Lane Johnson, Philadelphia Eagles

Even at 34 years old, Lane Johnson continues to be not only the best right tackle in the NFC East division, but arguably the best RT in the entire league. There's not another RT in the entire division who comes close to challenging him for the top spot.
