Boulder boys soccer: The 5A No. 15 Panthers beat No. 18 Grandview 4-0 in the opening round, getting a goal and an assist from both Kevin Botello and James Quesenberry.

Madness minimized: Boulder boys soccer handles Grandview in 5A 1st round

Broomfield boys soccer: The 5A No. 7 Eagles beat No. 26 Chaparral 5-0 in the opening round. Marcus Von scored twice.

Broomfield gymnastics: Mia Ritchie finished second in the individual all-around and the Eagles won their regional. State championships begin Thursday at Thornton High School for them.

Centaurus football: Chance Wood threw for 351 yards and five scores, leading the Warriors (8-2) past Gateway last week for their seventh straight win. Centaurus is at Windsor in the opening round of the 4A postseason this week.

Fairview boys cross country: The Knights finished third at the 5A meet in Colorado Springs on the strength of Holden Krizek’s ninth-place finish (15:52.40).

Holy Family volleyball: The Tigers beat TCA in five sets then swept Evergreen late last week, securing the eighth seed at this weekend’s regionals.

Jefferson Academy volleyball: The Jaguars won four of their five matches last week and will be the 3A No. 2 seed at regionals this weekend.

Niwot cross country: The Cougars swept the 4A state meet in Colorado Springs. The girls placed six in the top 10, including Addison Ritzenhein in front (17:08.20). The boys had three in the top 11, with Rocco Culpepper in third (15:27.80).

State cross country: Niwot girls and boys stay golden

Niwot gymnastics: Maeve Flentie finished inside the top five in all four events, winning the all-around title and leading the Cougars to a regionals victory. The state championships start Friday at Thornton High School for them.

Peak to Peak girls cross country: The Pumas finished second at the 3A meet in Colorado Springs. Skye Williams led the way in 24th (19:54.20).

Sean Beasley, Jefferson Academy boys cross country: He finished fourth at the 3A meet in Colorado Springs, clocking 16:01.50.

Jorden Gyaltsen, Peak to Peak boys soccer: The senior scored six times and had an assist as the 3A No. 3 Pumas beat No. 30 Bayfield 11-1 in the opening round.

Boys soccer: State playoffs roundup

Brian Heredia, Skyline boys soccer: The senior scored twice and had an assist in 4A No. 6 Skyline’s 4-2 win over No. 27 Skyview in the opening round. He leads the classification in goals (27) and points (68).

Darien Jackson, Broomfield football: Coming into the game in the second half, the backup QB threw for 163 yards and three scores as the Eagles rallied past Heritage 28-19 to claim a league title and secure the No. 4 seed in the 4A postseason.

Nolan Kelly, Fairview boys soccer: Kelly scored the walk-off goal on a penalty kick in overtime, sending the 12th-ranked Knights past No. 21 Mountain Vista 2-1.

Staying golden: Fairview soccer stuns Mountain Vista in overtime

Tyler Madden, Legacy football: Madden became the first player in school history to throw, run and catch a TD in the same game, per the school. The Lightning beat Brighton 35-8 last week and are the 17 seed in the 5A postseason.

Kael Pacaro, Silver Creek boys soccer: The senior scored twice as the 4A fifth-ranked Raptors beat No. 28 Thompson Valley 5-0 in the opening round.

Garrett Pugh, Centaurus boys soccer: The senior goalkeeper had three saves to record his fourth shutout in five games as the 4A No. 2 Warriors beat No. 31 Pueblo West in the first round. He also had an assist.

Addison Ritzenhein, Niwot girls cross country: She finished her 4A win in 17:08.20 at Norris Penrose Event Center, beating defending champ Ella Hagen by nearly 30 seconds and smashing Katie Rainsberger’s 4A course record of 17:39 from 2015.

Sage Wynja, Lyons boys cross country: He finished second at the 2A meet in Colorado Springs, finishing in 16:23.80.
