FAQs about hotels in Las Vegas

Take a Chance in Sin City

Famed for its glamorous casinos, celebrity visitors and endless streams of entertainment, Las Vegas buzzes with activity 24/7. Located in the heart of the Nevada desert, this city is called the Entertainment Capital of the World for a reason.

You can stroll down Fremont Street in old Las Vegas like a member of the Rat Pack or act like a modern high-roller at Caesar’s Palace. Prepare for a long night as the neon lights of clubs and casinos will tempt you to sink into the world of gambling and music.

Las Vegas is renowned of its fine dining, great shopping and live performances of famous artists and comedians. Right from the moment you leave McCarran International Airport you can try your luck at a slot machine, but you might want to wait until you get to the Las Vegas strip and the dozens of larger than life casinos.

When you’re ready for a break from the bustle of the city, visit the nearby Hoover Dam with the largest man-made lake, Lake Mead. The Paiute Indian Reservation in Vegas’ downtown area offers something a bit more spiritual.

Whichever type of accommodation you choose, whether a skyscraper hotel or a design city apartment, you’ll never run out of fantastic activities in Sin City. Booking.com has the perfect place to stay for your Vegas vacation.

I really enjoyed the Miracle Mile Mall and the restaurants...

I really enjoyed the Miracle Mile Mall and the restaurants available. It was good for shopping. This property was also convenient to the strip to see the other hotels and had ample shopping for food and necessities nearby. We also enjoyed sightseeing off the strip visiting the Hoover Dam, Red Rock Canyon, and Peach Springs to drive down into the Grand Canyon. There were many tours if interested to view the nearby attractions, but our party of 4 chose to do our own self guided tour. I would like to say it was nice to have a rental car, but it was a slight bit inconvenient to take all the shuttles to/from the airport to the car rental property. There is a bus from the terminal to the car rental pickup and then another shuttle to our car rental, Fox Car Rental off the airport campus.

Make sure you pick a centrally located hotel to save on taxi and Uber fees. Plus wear comfortable footwear to handle all the walking. Ask others about favorite restaurants and places to visit while there. A trip to Freemont Street for the nightly light show and entertainment is so much fun.

Vegas really is the place that does not sleep. Visiting the strip is always great but enjoy the outer boundaries stay you will definitely get more for less. Remember to stay hydrated the sun is real based on the time of year you visit. Excellent entertainment and the shows are usually great. It's worth a visit if only once. People say Las Vegas is like Blackpool on steroids - total...

People say Las Vegas is like Blackpool on steroids - total nonsense. There is enough to do in Vegas to satisfy people who want to gamble and those who do not (plus it is not as grimy as Blackpool). Vegas naturally has gambling facilities every which way you turn but there are other opportunities such as shopping, museums, gun ranges, restaurants and shows amongst other things to keep you entertained. There is also a good mix of old and new with the main strip and Fremont Street giving you an array of different experiences - I would recommend the SlotZillar zip line through Fremont Street as it goes at a good speed that is not too fast so you can take in all of the crazy surroundings below. People waving up was a nice touch too! My partner is afraid of heights but the zipline is only an 11-story high drop and she was proud of her achievement and the experience she gained after she completed the activity. I would not recommend using the local bus service. At $8 per person for a 24-hour ticket it sounded like the perfect travel solution and we gave it a go. The only problem is it stops every 5 minutes along the strip, it takes an age for people to get on and off so a 20 minute Uber journey can (and did) take an hour - all to save a few dollars. In hindsight I would pay the extra for the comfort and ease of an Uber or Taxi. The weather is fantastic and the sights between day/night do give you different perspectives of the place. I would recommend one of the many rooftop bars during the evening. There is a good one on the bar called 'Ole Red' where you can grab a beer and look out at the Bellagio Water display and most of the strip. I'm sure there are others but this was ideal as the live country music on show there made the experience even more magical.

Las Vegas is a great one time trip if you are someone who wants to experience the gambling and the night life of the city once, The city has a huge problem of homeless people entering the resorts and hotels and trying to harass and steal you and I do not see the resort people taking any action, Do not, I emphasize do not travel the city during the hot months of the year, it is super hot and not a fun to be in the city. Also make sure to buy plenty of water when you land, because these hotels and resort do not provide water. Overhyped city - definitely. One time visit - Why not.

The hotel is ok. All the negative reviews are a bit overdone. The hotel is the cheapest on the strip and of course it's not a 5 star hotel. Nevertheless it suites the purpose, is cheap and and acceptaby clean. The staff is very friendly. When you take a room a bit further from the elevator there is no noise at all.
