Sydney's public transport and areas you can travel too easily using public transport are second to none.. can tap on with a bank card, so cheap could not believe it. Hired a car went to the blue mountains, again road network amazing, scenery amazing... Central Sydney had lots to see - Bondi Beach and the local area look tired and old, facilities were basic and worn out (cant believe ppl pay that much to live there and it looks like that!), not a vibe!!. Overall definately coming back with the kids as we saw the water park in western sydney..

Unlike Melbourne super market convenience store or train stations or buses was not available much. Example the icc there was a short distance from hotel but guidance not there. You need as most are not from Sydney.

We last travelled to Sydney 12 years ago.
We last travelled to Sydney 12 years ago. A lot has changed since then. It is now massively over populated and chaotic. There is endless construction going on and even though we had booked 8 days there, we were wanting to get out of the city by day two. Manly beach, Freshwater beach and Bondi Beach are lovely. Our day trip to Parramatta by ferry was a great way to see the inner city and nice and quiet and peaceful.

Highly amazing place to explore, whether it be Manly and the Northern Beaches, or the CBD. The Manly ferry is very scenic, taking almost 30 minutes and taking you around Sydney harbour. Recommend you see 'The Rocks' area down near Circular Quay. Also see Darling Harbour, all walking distance within the CBD. An Opal card for public travel is useful if you are staying longer. It is free but requires a minimum of a $20 top up. Recommend also that you see Watson's Bay, catch the ferry from Circular Quay.

As a local I am biased but I've travelled the world and Sydney is right up there as a great city to visit. The harbour is beautiful and ferries are a great way to explore Taronga Zoo, Cockatoo Island and enjoy a lunch at Doyles, Watson's Bay. The Sydney Opera House, the Royal Botanic Gardens and NSW Art Gallery are within an easy and scenic walk along the harbour foreshore, then on to Macquarie Street with the State Library, Hyde Park Barracks and the Mint.
You will be spoilt for choice with restaurants, cafes and bars.
Public transport is accessible whether it be train, bus, light rail or ferries.
Location and staff friendliness - it is really central and has great facilities. It is adjacent to Mr Wongs restaurant so getting a reservation there is all done via the front desk. I left my suit there and in all the 1000's of hotels I have stayed at in my working career - these guys contacted me and mailed me my suit..sounds natural - but in hospitality it is rare. Thank you.
Excellent location - short & easy walking distance to Darling Harbour / ferry wharf & Crown Barangaroo, within moderate walking distance to Circular Quay & Opera House via Observatory Hill Park or Argyle Street, close to CBD shopping. While contact with staff was limited they were helpful and obliging. The expressway above the building did not present any noise issues for us.
Breakfast was ok. The room really nice and cozy with modern features. The 'idea' of this hotel is trendy and different and is fine when it works well. It is close to the airport and has its own shuttle service included so you wont have to share a ride with other hotels which is a bonus and the drive is nice :)
One of the best hotels in Sydney, the service is always fantastic, the staff are always very heplful. Has one of the best club lounges we've experienced in the CBD of Sydney. Valet parking with the carpark onsite is always helpful. Our regular spot for weekends away.
