Van became the managing editor at Brew Hoop in 2023 after several years on the staff, during which time he covered dozens of games at Fiserv Forum and at various road arenas. He's a Madison native and University of Wisconsin alum who began writing about baseball in college before transitioning to the NBA in 2018.
