The France men’s national basketball team lost to Canada 85-73 in Orléans in a FIBA friendly on Friday night. It’s a bit of a concern because Les Bleus have lost three straight friendlies. However, Nicolas Batum did not play today, so it wasn’t like France played at full strength.

Washington Wizards guard Bilal Coulibaly scored 5 points and played 21 minutes tonight for Les Bleus. Guerschon Yabusele led with 19 points. For Canada, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led with 23 points and Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett added 21 points.

The big stat that set the outcome of this game was turnovers. France committed 20 tonight while Canada committed just 11.

Les Bleus have one more friendly before les jeux Olympiques. They play Australia on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, once again in Orléans. See you then.
