Nick Cannon said it "works a lot better" spending individual quality time with each of his children versus everyone at once.
The 42-year-old father of 12, recently told People that all of his children do get together "when necessary," but he felt that the "only person that would benefit having everyone in the same space would be me."
"I feel like qualitative experiences are when I can give everyone their own individual experience," he said. "I actually love stepping into their world. Going to their sports games or giving them their personal time for the holidays. So I have no problem with bouncing around."
Nick knows it might not always be this way when the children grow up. "I think as everyone probably gets older, and even as I slow down a little bit more, I'm sure everyone will start coming to me in one place."
"I actually think it works a lot better [right now]. Because everyone's busy, not just me. It works to be able to take the time trying to go to them and show the value of being with them and not forcing anyone to come to me," he added.
Nick shares his eldest children, 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
He is also the father to two sons, Golden Sagon, six, and Rise Messiah, six months, and a daughter Powerful Queen, two, with Brittany Bell.
He is father to another pair of twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 21 months, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, four months, with Abby De La Rosa.
He shares his eight-month-old son, Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi.
With Lanisha Cole, he shares a five-month-old daughter, Onyx Ice Cole.
And with Alyssa Scott, he shares Zen, who died from brain cancer at five months, and daughter Halo Marie, three months.
The TV host knows navigating his large family would be impossible without the mothers. He acknowledged that spending time with the children separately "wouldn't work if I didn't have such amazing women in my life that are truly understanding and super loving and compassionate about the world that we live in."
Although he appreciates the individual time, this past Easter, Nick dressed up as a bunny and spent time with all of his children. "The Easter Bunny is definitely busy. It's a fun time, again, but I couldn't ask for a better experience, and the abundance of love that gets to come my way and that I get to spend with all of my kids," Nick said. "I have a big family. So the Easter Bunny's busy."
