Pentagon Jr. clarifies AEW contract status and WWE rumors

Rumors have been abound of WWE having interest in signing Pentagon Jr. (aka Penta El Zero M) once the luchador’s contract with AEW expires. The man himself addressed the speculation to clarify the situation.

Pentagon was interviewed by Lalo Elizarrarás as they shared a meal in Penta’s carnitas restaurant, Chanchos, in Teotihuacán, Mexico.

Penta is aware that fan interest in him signing with WWE has been around since finishing Lucha Underground, but those were just rumors. He never received a tangible offer from WWE, then his career path led to AEW.

Overall, Pentagon is happy in AEW. His contract expires on August 31. He didn’t know how that information was leaked to spark the recent WWE rumors. As for looking toward the future, Penta prefers to stay focused in the moment. He will give his best to AEW over the next few months. If a contract negotiation arises between AEW and WWE, then he’ll analyze the offers side by side. Pentagon realizes that he isn’t so young anymore, and this next deal could be his last big contract.

One aspect of motivation is that a lot of people depend on Pentagon. It isn’t just about his family. Penta has businesses, such as the restaurant, a merchandise team, a gym, a school, and promotes shows. He is interested in helping his people and wants to make sure those ventures are stable.

At the host’s suggestion, Pentagon acknowledged that it would cool to hear Cero Miedo chants at WrestleMania. WWE would be a good chapter in his career. However, Penta doesn’t live in fantasy. If it happens, it happens. He is more focused on the here and now.

Pentagon made sure to clarify that he has never received tangible offers from WWE. All the speculation is purely rumors.
