One student and one teacher sustained non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing at Carver Vocational Technical High School Tuesday afternoon, Baltimore City Public School Police said.

The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. inside the school, located at 2201 Presstman Street, when a female student attacked another student with a sharp, unidentified object. The student sustained a cut to the hand, while a teacher was also cut on the arm while trying to break up the incident.

The incident involved four students total, a spokesperson for city schools said Wednesday. The school was placed under lockdown during the incident.

The female student was taken into custody. The teacher and student who sustained injuries were treated at a hospital.
