Adele’s Vegas Tickets Are This Year’s Priciest So Far — Report

Tickets for the Adele’s residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas were the priciest on the resale market nationwide for the first half of 2024. According to a new report by Forbes, fans doled out an average of $1,461 each to see the British superstar.

In July 2022, soon after tickets for Adele’s rescheduled “Weekends With Adele” residency were put on sale for that November, Casino.org actually found two front-row tickets listed for $41,280 each on StubHub. With StubHub’s $6,191.93 per ticket service fee, that’s a date that would have cost someone $94,949.82.

You’re So Money!

All three of the top-dollar resale tickets were for concerts in Las Vegas, according to figures provided to Forbes by reseller SeatGeek. Adele outpriced second-ranked Phish at the Sphere by $233, and bested U2 at the Sphere by $630.

“Vegas prices are definitely significantly higher than what we’d normally see if (artists) were coming to, say the Prudential Center in New Jersey or Ball Arena in Colorado,” SeatGeek’s Chris Leyden told Forbes.

Las Vegas residencies increasingly appeal to top-tier artists not only because they make more money, but because they spend less on overhead. They can stay in one place while fans come to them, instead of having to fly all over the world with stages and gear they need to pay huge union crews to break down and transport each night.

And there’s no longer any taint to playing Las Vegas, which long ago shed its reputation of being a graveyard for music careers. Credit for that goes to Celine Dion who, while still among the most successful touring pop stars in the world, decided to take a gamble on her first Las Vegas residency in 2003.

SeatGeek told Forbes it expects Adele’s residency to remain high on its list for the second half of 2024, but predicts that the return of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour to the US this fall may steal her top spot.

In November 2022, Casino.org identified a block of 42 Swift tickets for one of her March 2023 shows at Allegiant Stadium on sale for $94,950 each.
