The owners of Las Vegas’ Anima by EDO and EDO Tapas & Wine are going for a trifecta. Roberto Liendo, Joe Mikulich, and James Beard-nominated Chef Oscar Amador will open Braseria in early 2025.

The Spanish-French brasserie will debut at The Collective, a curated mix of high-end dining, retails, and services at 3900 Paradise Road that just recently added Bramàre, an Italian eatery from Table 34 owners Batch Hospitality.

Braseria will take over the 5,000 square-foot space once occupied by Yolie’s Brazilian Steakhouse.

EDO Tapas & Wines came first for the trio, opening in Chinatown in 2018 and known for its small plates. That was followed by Anima by EDO, the Spanish-Italian establishment they opened in southwest Las Vegas in 2022.

Amador received his first Beard Award nomination in 2023, for Best Chef: Southwest. This year, he followed it up with one for Outstanding Chef, the most prestigious category in what are considered the Oscars of the culinary world.

Tamba 2.0

Tamba, among the Strip’s most popular Indian restaurants for almost 20 years, closed in May 2022, ahead of the Hawaiian Marketplace’s demolition to make way for a new 300,000 square-foot retail center.

Next month, it will reappear in a 6,000 square-foot space at Town Square, the outdoor shopping mall just south of Mandalay Bay.

“As the torchbearer of my father’s esteemed brand and learning by his side for the last 33 years, I wanted to continue to craft a narrative of opulence, honed from a lifetime of global experiences garnered from traveling the world experiencing the best of the best from a very young age,” said Tamba’s Sunny Dhillon, whose parents opened the original restaurant, in a statement.

The new Tamba will be open at 6671 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite A-117, next to P.F. Chang’s. Monitor tambaindiancuisine.com for an official opening date.

Dining Ins & Outs

Sayulitas Mexican Food, which already has five San Diego locations, will open its second in Las Vegas by year’s end, downtown at 616 E. Carson Ave. Sayulitas debuted in Vegas in 2015 at Akita Plaza across from Mandalay Bay. Its new location will be three times the size, according to What Now Vegas.

A new Thai restaurant, named either Baan Baan or Twin Elephants, is preparing to open at 2267 N. Rampart Blvd. in Summerlin. According to What Now Vegas, the space will take over Thai Style Noodle House 3.
