Deadly crash blocked lanes on southbound I-5 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO – Lanes on southbound Interstate 5 in Sacramento were blocked due to a deadly crash Monday morning.
The scene was near the 43rd Avenue offramp.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but it appears only one vehicle was involved.
California Highway Patrol confirmed that at least one person—a 26-year-old man—died in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Several southbound lands were blocked just north of Seamas Avenue due to the crash. The lanes were cleared before noon.
