Magic's Moritz Wagner: Solid outing in Olympic loss
Wagner posted 16 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one block across 24 minutes in Saturday's 93-83 loss to Serbia in the bronze medal game of the Paris Olympics.
Wagner produced his highest scoring outing of the Paris Olympics in the bronze medal game, but it was not enough to lift the team past Nikola Jokic and Serbia. The 27-year-old was not asked to do much in the scoring department alongside Franz Wagner and Dennis Schroder, but he did shoot an efficient 52.5 percent from the field during the Paris Olympics. In six Olympic appearances, Wagner averaged 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 17.0 minutes per game.

Magic's Franz Wagner: Struggles from deep in Olympic win
Wagner totaled 17 points (7-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block across 31 minutes in Germany's 86-73 win over Brazil in the Paris Olympics on Tuesday.
Aside from a disastrous second quarter, Germany's stars were stellar on the defensive end with Wagner and Dennis Schroder combining for eight steals compared to only seven for Brazil. However, Wagner's three-point shooting has been an issue in the group phase thus far. The 22-year-old shot just 2-for-8 from deep Saturday against Japan, and he has shot a combined 2-for-14 now through two games. His poor shooting from deep has yet to stop the forward from racking up points, as he has still averaged 20 per game in the group stage. Wagner and Germany will be moving on to the quarterfinals after the group phase, and the squad will likely need him to step up from range if they are going to compete for a medal in the Paris Olympics.

Magic's Bryson Williams: Returns to action

Joseph and the Magic agreed to a two-year contract Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
This could be a strong indication that Orlando has moved on from bringing back Markelle Fultz in free agency. Da Silva built upon a 13-point outing in Friday's win over the Cavaliers with a 23-point outburst against the Pelicans Sunday. The Colorado product has been a highly efficient scorer, shooting 57.9 percent from the floor and 54.5 percent from three. Despite the strong start to Summer League, Da Silva will face an uphill battle to a significant role for the Magic come the regular season due to their depth at the wing positions.
