The Green Machine food truck comes to Brunswick starting June 12.

BRUNSWICK, Ohio - A new farmer's market season is about to begin at Heritage Farm with new vendors joining a growing list of regulars from the past three years.

The market will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Sunday, starting June 12, at Heritage Farm, home of the Brunswick Area Historical Society, 4613 Laurel Road.

This year will see the addition of the Green Machine food truck every other week as well as a new produce vendor, Elek's Farm Market from Columbia Station.

According to co-owner, Steven McKinney, The Green Machine has been on the road since 2013. Casey Moran was the sous chef and when the previous owner was ready to sell he offered it to Casey first so Casey could start his own kitchen.

"I believe in Casey, his talent and passion so I decided to partner with him to purchase the truck. I've always had a passion for sustainability, with my degree in Alternative Energy Technologies and previous experience as an independent solar energy consultant, Casey and I wanted to connect local farmers that use organic practices to the public through our delicious and healthy food."

Their goal is to eventually have the truck to run on solar energy. "This way we can travel all over northeast Ohio and show people how practical it is to live an enjoyable life that is good for our bodies and good for the Earth.:
