Woman uses fake ID during traffic stop: Brunswick Police Blotter

BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- Falsification, Center Road: A woman reported on June 8 that another woman had used her license to identify herself during a traffic stop May 26. Police tried to contact the suspect but had not been able to at the time of the report. A request was forwarded to the prosecutor's office to waive the traffic charge against the woman whose license was fictitiously used. The suspect, meanwhile, is facing traffic and falsification charges.

Marijuana possession, Center Road: A driver was pulled over at 1:22 a.m. June 10 after failing to signal while turning from Center Road onto Blueberry Hill Drive. The officer smelled the odor of marijuana inside the car and found a plastic bottle containing marijuana inside the car. The driver was cited for the traffic violation, not wearing a seat belt and marijuana possession and was released.

Warrant, Clearbrooke Drive: A driver was pulled over at 3:12 a.m. June 11 for making an improper left turn. The driver was cited for the traffic offense and one of his passengers was found to have a warrant out of the Berea Police Department for failing to appear in court on a theft charge. The passenger was turned over to Berea PD.

Drunken driver, Center Road: An officer pulled over a driver at 1:25 a.m. June 12 for weaving in and out of lanes. The driver smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests. He later failed a breath test and was cited for drunken driving.
