OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- We got Fred from the Berea Animal Rescue in August. He’s 9 years old, and we think he is a Pomeranian-Yorkie mix -- a Porkie.
He had a wicked cough when we brought him home, and we took him to our veterinarian several times. We nursed him back to health, and he settled in.
Fred is now friends with our dachshund, Heidi Wiener; and our Australian shepherd, Bosco. Fred loves to play with toys, especially balls -- he's great at fetching. He also likes to chase squirrels, nap in his bed and roll around on the floor.
Fred enjoys riding in the car, Wendy's chicken nuggets and getting his fur brushed.
We are looking forward to our first Christmas with Fred.
