HINCKLEY TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Weapons: Ridge Road

A man brought a suspected World War II grenade to the Hinckley Township Police Department Sept. 28 after finding it in his late father-in-law’s house. The item was determined to be a smoke grenade and posed no threat, police said.

Fraud: Center Road

A man reported that his bank account had been locked Sept. 20 after he received a message from a random friend on Snapchat asking the man to deposit two checks in order to receive a partial payment. The man called police when he realized he may have been the victim of a scam.

Driving under suspension: Center Road

A man was cited for having expired license tags and driving under two suspensions when police investigated a suspicious parked car at 5:10 p.m. Sept. 21.

In addition, reports said the driver was not able to provide proof of insurance. Police had the car towed from the scene and gave the man a ride to the police station to await a ride home.
