Disorderly conduct: Center Road
Police responded to a man seen stumbling and acting erratically in the area of Brunswick Lake and the Cleveland Clinic Emergency Room at 1:06 a.m. Nov. 8.
Police reportedly saw the man fall into a plate glass window at the ER. He didn’t break the window. He became combative when police questioned him, and he was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Fraud: Robert Parkway
A resident called police Nov. 5 to report being the victim of a scam. The victim told police she had been contacted through Facebook Messenger about a grant for $100,000. She was told she would have to pay attorney fees and taxes in order to get the grant.
The scammer sent the victim three fraudulent checks for $1,500 each, which she deposited into her Huntington bank account. She then withdrew the requested money to purchase Visa gift cards. She told police a total of $6,000 was stolen.
Drugs: Parschen Road
A driver was pulled over at 9:57 p.m. Nov. 5 for driving with a suspended license. Drug paraphernalia was found inside the car during an inventory prior to the car being towed. The driver was cited and released.
Identity theft: Hilltop Drive
A woman called police Nov. 7 to report a case of identity theft that took place over the past week. She said she had received a change-of-address notification in the mail from the U.S. Postal Service, which she did not request, and later discovered that a Bank of America credit card with a $12,000 limit had been opened in her name.
Police and bank officials were still investigating at the time of the report.
Drug paraphernalia: Laurel Road
Police stopped a driver at 1:58 a.m. Nov. 6 for driving without headlights. The driver was found to have a suspended license.
Marijuana, marijuana drug paraphernalia and an open container of alcohol were found inside the vehicle. The driver was cited and released.
