MEDINA, Ohio -- The Medina County Historical Society held its annual membership meeting and reception at the John Smart House Museum Wednesday (Dec. 1). Thirty members assembled in the parlor to hear president Brian Feron’s annual report, to elect officers and trustees and to congratulate the winners of this year’s prestigious Northrop Awards.

According to Feron’s annual report, the historic McDowell-Phillips House was opened in June for monthly tours and the public responded enthusiastically. The capital campaign will be continued in 2022 to seek grants and donations to complete the landscaping, driveway, parking area and barn replacement.
