BRUNSWICK, Ohio
Impaired driver: Clearbrooke Drive
Police responded to multiple calls about a possibly impaired driver at 7:24 p.m. Sept. 15. The license plate number provided was traced to a Clearbrooke Drive address, where the car was seen parked outside with a woman in the driver’s seat.
The woman appeared to be impaired and reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol. She failed field sobriety tests and registered more than twice the legal limit for intoxication on a breath test.
Theft: Center Road
A woman was cited for petty theft at 6:57 p.m. Sept. 17 when she was seen taking flowers from the garden center at Meijer. Police also found stolen Halloween items in her possession.
Dog bite: Pheasants Walk
A man reported that his dog was bitten by another dog Sept. 18 while on a walk.
Police spoke with the other dog’s owner. She reportedly told them that a door had been left open and her dog had gotten out.
The incident was forwarded to the Brunswick Animal Control officer for follow-up.
Property damage: Pearl Road
A man reported his car “keyed” overnight Sept. 18, either while it was parked at The Backyard restaurant or at a residence in the 3600 block of Edgebroooke Drive.
The man gave the police the name of a person he suspected of causing the damage. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
Theft: Laurel Road
A woman reported Sept. 18 that her checkbook, cell phone, debit card and Ohio EBT card had been stolen from her by a man she only knows as “Randy.” Police had no further information at the time of the report.
