BRUNSWICK HILLS TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Animal complaint, Substation Road

A Stag Thicket resident was cited for dogs at large when police responded to a report at 7:32 p.m. June 3 of a dog or a coyote seen attacking chickens at a residence. The Husky was found on the property, where several chickens and ducks had been killed, injured or had fled. The dog showed evidence of having been involved in the attack and he was returned to the owner. Police were still investigating the case and assessing damage caused at the time of the report.

Property damage, Sleepy Hollow Road

A driver reported her car being struck by a stick or a baseball bat while she was driving at 4:54 p.m. May 30. The driver said she saw two juveniles running into Plum Creek Park but police were not able to locate any suspects or any other witnesses to the incident.

Assault, Center Road

A woman was arrested for assault at 5:51 p.m. June 2 when she reportedly punched a man at her residence. The woman had left the residence when police arrived and officers later questioned her. She admitted to the altercation but said she only flicked the man’s glasses off his face and did not strike him. She was taken into custody based upon physical evidence of the assault and witness statements.

Dog bite, Overton Drive

A resident reported being bitten by her neighbor’s dog at 4:30 p.m. May 31 while she was at a park with her children. The victim said several dogs approached them before one bit her on the leg. Police contacted the owner, who reportedly claimed the victim provoked her dogs. The owner was cited for dogs at large and ordered to quarantine for 10 days the dog that bit the victim.
