While Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) police have been a part of safety discussions with the cities of Shaker Heights and Cleveland, they are not planning to sign on to the proposed mutual aid agreement being drafted by those cities. "GCRTA continues to be a partner in delivering security solutions for the Shaker Square area, given that the Rapid station is a pivotal point to its Light Rail system and the associated bus stops and transfer centers are important areas," a spokesman said.Tom Jewell/Special to cleveland.com
