CLEVELAND, Ohio - Great Lakes Brewing Co. will release Chillwave, its Double India Pale Ale, in April, the brewery has said.

Brewpub tapping will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1. Bottles sales in the gift shop will begin 5 p.m. Friday, April 1. And distribution to the market of four-packs of 12-ounce bottles will start Monday, April 4.

The ale is made with Mosaic hops, is 9 percent alcohol, and has 80 International Bitterness Units. Its label shows a sleek surfer dressed in black on Lake Erie with specific Cleveland buildings in the background, including the Terminal Tower and Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse.

Chillwave previously was called Alchemy Hour. In 2013, the name was changed as a result of potential copyright infringement in a dispute settled amicably with Craft Brew Alliance Inc. and Widmer Brothers Brewing. Last year the label changed as part of the brewery's redesign.

Great Lakes is at 2516 Market Ave., Cleveland.
