CLEVELAND, Ohio -- If it wasn't widely known before that Porco Lounge & Tiki Bar crafts a tasty tiki cocktail, it's now official, on a national level.

As part of the South Beach Wine & Food Fest in Miami, Florida, Porco Lounge was pitted against eight other contestants from around the country that specialize in Polynesian tiki cocktails in a competiton entitled "The Art of Tiki: A Cocktail Showdown." All drink entries had to include a specific rum - Rhum Barbancourt - as the base ingredient.

A cocktail called The Alchemy Hour, concocted by the manager of the Porco Lounge and Tiki Bar, Mr. Shannon Smith, was voted 'People's Choice.'

Located at 2527 W. 25th Street in Tremont, Porco Lounge & Tiki Bar was closed from Feburary 25-29 in order to take part in the competition. Sponsored by the Food and Wine Magazine, the Food Network and the Cooking Channel, the event was hosted by chef/food personality Guy Fieri.

This year marked Porco's first time entering the contest.

"We were adamant about bringing this prize back to Cleveland," says Porco owner, Stefan Was.
