More than 300 people packed in to Saturday's second annual Rubber City Beer Fest in downtown Akron this month. The fest attracted dozens of Ohio breweries and doubled its attendance from last year's inaugural event. It follows a home-brewing competition between the Society of Akron Area Zymurgists and the Society of Northeast Ohio Brewers.

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Bill Wills of WTAM and I chat about Dogfish Head's Beer to Drink Music To, a Belgian tripel and this week's Crack One Open, and also about two beer fests.

The Society of Akron Area Zymurgists held their second annual fest recently, which capped off a friendly home-brewing competition with SNOBS, Society of Northeast Ohio Brewers. Also, House of Blues in Cleveland is getting set to hold its second annual Local Brews Local Grooves, which features craft beer and musicians and artists on multiple stages.

Cheers!
